This recipe was made using a Cuisinart Air Fryer Mini Oven, £250

Ingredients

50g butter (or non-dairy spread)
200g flour (gluten-free optional)
200ml water
2 tbsp caster sugar
½ cup plain yoghurt (oat/soy/dairy)
1 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
50g caster sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
200g dark chocolate
  1. Method

    Step 1

Over a medium heat, bring 200ml water to a boil and add the butter, sugar and vanilla. Once the butter has melted and the water is boiling, turn off the heat and whisk in the flour and salt. Ensure there are no lumps.

    Step 2

Whisk in the yoghurt and baking powder and leave the mixture to cool for 10 minutes. Transfer the dough to a piping bag with a large star tip.

    Step 3

Line your air fryer tray with greaseproof paper and pipe your churros directly onto the sheet in lines, leaving approximately half a centimetre between each. They should be roughly 5-6 inches in length.

    Step 4

Set your air fryer to 175 C and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.

    Step 5

Mix the cinnamon and sugar together, and coat the cooked churros.

    Step 6

Melt some chocolate for dipping and drizzling. Enjoy!
