Air fryer sweet chilli tofu and broccoli

This vegetarian air fryer tofu recipe is a twist on a classic stir fry with broccoli and a sweet chilli sauce

Ingredients

Ingredients

1 block firm tofu (500g)
1 head of broccoli
1 tbsp corn flour
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp agave syrup (you can also use honey, maple syrup or brown rice syrup)
1 tsp chilli flakes or chilli paste
1 tsp sesame seeds
Juice ½ lime
Spring onions
  1. Method

    Step 1

    Use a tea towel or kitchen paper to blot the excess water from the tofu. Press firmly to extract as much water as possible, but take care not to break the block. Cut the tofu into cubes.

    Step 2

    Wash the broccoli and cut into small florets and set aside.

    Step 3

    In a bowl, use a whisk to mix all of the remaining ingredients apart from the spring onion and sesame seeds. Ensure the mixture is free of lumps.

    Step 4

    Add the tofu and broccoli to the wet ingredients and coat well.

    Step 5

    Set your air fryer to 180 C and line the tray with greaseproof paper.

    Step 6

    Tip your prepared ingredients onto the tray and spread evenly. Bake for 15 minutes, turning halfway through.

    Step 7

    Serve with sesame seeds and chopped spring onions.
